To follow is a brief word by Dr. Stan from Korea:
I have been coming to South Korea for over 25 years. I find Korea to be enchanting, the people precious, and the work challenging. From the great revivals of the past has emerged a strong, if not a bit pedantic and religious church. Our heart is to resource the church throughout the world with our outstanding Spirit filled curriculum and degree programs.
Over the years, we have had 4 of our books translated, graduated hundreds of students, and networked with dozens of Pastors and churches. We continue to do the same, with the special help of our Korean Coordinator Dr. Eunice Kim and our Central Asian World Zone leader Dr. Sam Seong Kim. We are convinced that this powerful people of prayer with their zeal for world missions will continue to be key partners for Vision and the International Training and Education Network for years to come.
This weekend is packed…last night (Friday May 15) I began preaching a revival service at 10pm, finishing at midnight…then leading folks into a time of extended prayers of repentance and dedication. Today I teach at Jesus Village Cell Church in our launch seminar program at their church, with about 80 students…teaching from Journey to Wholeness…a 4 hour seminar…with focus on discipleship and leadership…then I preach twice Sunday, meetings Monday, home on Tuesday…what a joy to serve the Lord.
News from our African zone leader:
Dr. Steve Mills writes, “The first week of May Kath and I took a quick trip to Kuwait where I accepted an invitation to move to Kuwait and work full time with the Lighthouse Church Kuwait. As many of you know, for the past several years I have been traveling to Kuwait 3 or 4 times a years as an adviser to the pastoral staff. After much prayer, we felt it was time to move back to the mission field full time.
Please be in prayer with us as we work through all the paperwork required to obtain a religious workers residency visa for Kuwait. Note my new email address – firstname.lastname@example.org“
The new primary school in Sierra Leone is coming along well. The walls are up and the structure for the roof is completed. We are in need of $10,000 to complete the roof before the rainy season starts. It is our desire to get this project finished for the opening of school in September. If you would like to help with this project please contact us.
