The Turkey Time
I got home just over a week ago from a wonderful time in Antalya, Turkey. I was home just over a week from my trip to Australia. In Turkey, under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Kim Sam Seong, I taught missionaries advanced skills in Christian Counseling, Integrating Psychology and Theology with practical application. The teaching was well received, and Dr. Kim and family were gracious and generous as always.what a blessing. Under Dr. Kim’s leadership we have hundreds of students, undergraduate and graduate, all serving or being prepared to serve in church plants along the Silk Road and beyond.
Of course, this is the main reason I travel, to be a part of a team taking the whole word to the whole world.preaching, teaching, writing, networking on behalf of Vision and our various activities. As such, I have the honor of working alongside men and women like Dr. Kim, who for the last 30 years has sacrificed for the sake of the gospel, and has actively and strategically trained thousands of student in conjunction with Vision and planted hundreds of churches along the Silk Road and beyond. What an honor. Another brother who is impacting the world through is missionary teaching ministry is being featured this month. Pastor Steve Fitzpatrick. He and his wife Kathy have ministered in many nations, and work with Vision in a wonderful College program in Nicaragua. I know you will be delight by his article on Leadership, no doubt related to his book published by Vision Publishing.
A Final Thought
I am home for a while, back in the office, handling administrative duties, working on finishing some writing projects, and trusting the Lord for his strength and wisdom to continue with this vital work. Your prayers make all the difference…thanks to all of you for your prayerful support…we couldn’t do what we do without you. For more pm what is happening with Vision around the world, check out our webpage at http://www.vision.edu. Thanks for all who prayer regarding my medical tests on my thyroid. All seems to be okay for now, and I am so grateful. Let’s keep moving forward in prayer and services to accomplish the mission of Vision.
We just received this prayer request and update from Dr. Stan Newton. Please add it to your prayer list.
“We want to provide an update on Kingdom Missions and what is happening here in Bulgaria. Since Christmas we have been hit with the worst winter in all our years here. It has been very cold with lots of snow. Because of the weather most of our ministry has been here in Sofia, but we did make two trips cross Bulgaria to preach and teach in several churches. Starting in March, Stan begins teaching in a new Bible School here in Sofia, as well as continuing to teach at our Bible School in Stara Zagora (remember, Stan is a graduate of Vision International University, with his Doctor of Ministry in Leadership). We also have travel plans in the spring. Stan has been asked to come and teach on the Kingdom of God in the nations of Macedonia, Portugal and Germany. Also, Virginia is going to Skopje, Macedonia in May to work on a language primer with a team coming from Tulsa, Oklahoma. We ask you to keep us in prayer for these upcoming trips and our work here in Bulgaria. Your support is what allows us to proclaim the name of Jesus and his kingdom in Bulgaria and other nations.”
