The 2016 Vision Leadership Summit is now history, and it was historical. Our leaders from around the world were blessed, and I was blessed to be with friends that are more like family. Of course, as is true every year, several of our key leaders could not make it, and we were all grieving the loss of our precious friend and Chairman of the Board of Regents, Dr. Randy Gurley.
One of the many things discussed was for the need to find key leaders in the US and around the world with a hunger for true Great Commission ministry via discipleship or mentoring. Our ministry is a teaching ministry, and the curriculum and programs we offer are second to none. Our marketing…well, we need help on, and we are working on that every day. One thing I have recently done to hopefully help market Vision is write my latest book titled, Mentoring Mandate: Developing and Leading Mentor Centers. The book is designed to help our existing and potential Mentor centers (either a Resource Center with direct teaching from local instructors or our hybrid online and small group instruction program) stay the course, focused on becoming more effective in their work, with clarity on how and why we disciple as mentors. I have included in this Vision Update an excerpt from the book, followed by an opportunity to vacation in Greece. I hope you like both articles, and avail yourself of the offered resources. Happy New Year…2016…a year to rejoice in.
