I got home from Australia last week … my over 60th trip “down under.” All my trips are important in terms of the vision of Vision. This trip was even more significant for three key reasons.
Ken and Alison Chant … 60 years of marriage, 60 years of ministry for Dr. Ken, and 40 years since the dream of Vision became a reality … with the motto of, “Taking the whole word to the whole world.” Over 100 guests honored Ken and Alison at a beautiful banquet in Penrith, NSW, Australia. Along with honoring the Chants, we presented the Vision Faithfulness awards to Steve and Trish Hart, Excellence in Leadership award to Denis Plant, and a Posthumous Doctor of Ministry to Rev. David Jones, presented to Ken and Alison’s daughter, Sharon Jones and her three sons. It was a great night!
The preaching and teaching ministry at New Horizons Community Church and The Rock Church in Penrith, and the two weeks of ministry at Adelaide Christian Centre with my friends of nearly 20 years, Pastor Mike and Kelly Groom, was excellent. I conducted a Marriage and Family seminar, a Parenting seminar and ministry on the Joy of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit … what a blessed time.
My personal meeting with Denis Plant was very positive and fruitful … and we are committed to walking more closely together by God’s grace.
