WHEN AM I A MAN?
This question is one that millions of boys from every generation across our nation will ask themselves at one time of another. Is it when you have your first drink, or your first sexual encounter? Our western culture has lost the art of defining a time when boys become men and many young males are left to their own devices trying to find and prove their manhood, sometimes with devastating consequences. Adolescence has robbed our boys of this rite of passage and the result is we have generation after generation of ‘men’ who have never grown up. It is vital the issue of manhood is adequately answered in a male’s life in order to release him from perpetual doubt caused by false expectations, cultural norms and distorted imagery generated from popular media such as TV, movies and music.
Man Up and the associated program have been written to help in this transition of ‘calling the man out of the boy’. It has been developed out of a passion to facilitate a positive and long lasting impression with on flowing effects upon the individual, the family and the community. From first-hand experience rather than from the halls of academia, Man Up tackles issues from a practical viewpoint and encourages implementation of principles.

Have you been wounded by someone in the church?
Do you know someone who is no longer attending church as a result of being wounded by those who were supposed to be their leaders? You need to read this book!
Wounded in the House of a Friend was written from the heart of a Pastor. Dr. Howard Ryan pastored for over 60 years, was so moved by the casualties he had encountered in churches, he was compelled to write this definitive work on this difficult subject.
The message of this book is this——Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus commanded us to love each other. It is essential that we love our neighbor as ourselves. We must honor and esteem all men and women, and wrong or injure none.
Thus, in this book Dr. Ryan helps us:
Face the truth about abuse in the church
Trace the roots of abuse and subsequent wounding
Erase through the forgiveness and repentance the wounds and offenses, and
Replace the wound with love for others, and grace for the future.
