Dear Friend of Vision
“Let your light so shine before men in such a way that they will see you good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
As a young child a favorite chorus we sang was “this little light of mine, I’m gone a let it shine…and hide it under a bushel, no!” Well, light speaks to us of how we live our life, not what kind of flashlight we use, and our light shining relates to the good (God like) works we do as we live the Christian life. As believers, leaders and teachers, our hope is that our students actually grow in the grace of God sufficiently that they have something to shine out of their hearts. Life change, by encountering the Word in life is our hope, and when a student or parishioner shares their life to benefit another, especially without expectation of return, it really does glorify our Father in heaven.
