It is also an acquaintance. Further, it can be a person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brief Explanation:<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Making friends is fairly natural for most children as they grow up.\u00a0 However, developing\u00a0 true,\u00a0 close and intimate relationships is not always easy in the body of Christ. \u00a0There are many reasons that can be proposed for this reality, but regardless ones opinion, finding friends is an art form, requiring that the person needing friends be friendly. A counselor can model friendship, but can rarely be the friend of the client, due to the relationship dynamics of counselor\/counselee. \u00a0The church can and, of course, should be a place where friendships, based upon a common faith in Jesus Christ are developed. A counselor needs to encourage friendship development, both in the church and community.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Word of God:<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proverbs 17:17<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cA friend loves aT all times, and a brother is born for adversity.\u201d<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amos 3:3<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDo two men walk together unless they have made an appointment?\u201d<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Galatians 6:2<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cBear one another\u2019s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.\u201d<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proverbs 27:6<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFaithful are the wounds of a friend, but deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.\u201d<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proverbs 17:9<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cHe who conceals a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates intimate friends.\u201d<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTwo are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.
