Patience emphasizes calmness, self-control, and the willingness or ability to tolerate delay or to delay gratification.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brief Explanation:<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u201cDear Lord, give me patience, and give it to me now!\u201d Not the brightest of prayers, but understandable. Patience, especially with oneself or family members is a necessary ingredient to the healing process for most. It takes time to create a problem, and it takes time to see the problem resolved.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Counselors need patience as well. The process of change is a time consuming one, and is in the hands of the Lord and the person being helped.
