Certification Levels

There are Four Levels of Certification available for Pastoral and Christian Counselors in IACCP.

Levels of certification include the following:

Certification Level  1

  1. Recommended for students and interns, or allied health professional who do counseling as a part of their ministry, who have yet to achieve full entrance into their specific profession.

  2. Complete the Application and the Level 1 exam.

  3. Association dues are $49.00.

Certification Level  2

Certified Christian or Pastoral Counselor for members with a Bachelor’s Degree in theology, ministry, or the behavioral sciences.

  1. Complete the Application and Level 1 and 2 exams.

  2. Association dues are $99.00

Certification Level 3

Certified Clinical Christian or Pastoral Counselor for members with a Master’s Degree in theology, ministry, or the behavioral sciences.

  1. Complete the Application and Levels 1, 2, and 3 exams

  2. Association dues are $129.00

Certification Level 4

Doctoral Diplomat in Christian or Pastoral Counseling for members with a Doctoral Degree in theology, ministry, or the behavioral sciences.

  1. Complete the Application and Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 exams.

  2. Association dues are $149.00
